The "stake-out" for the Stellars Eagle, an incredibly rare bird. Yes, there are five cars and trucks there.

We boondocked at Green Point Light between our two days on "Stella" watch.

Another truck camper was there as well as us on an incredibly dark and grim night.

Leaving early the next morning for a quick Tim Horton's stop on the way back to the stake-out.

Fueled by coffee and back at the stake-out for another four hours.

This is the impossibly dense forest where the eagle spends its summers. Look closely and you'll find a Bald Eagle.

After an exhausting 24 hours looking for the Stellars Sea Eagle, we came back to Terra Nova and lucked into a the nicest site we've ever had here.

Sadly across the sound a wildfire has broken out. In the few hours here the view of Newman Sound has filled with smoke. Glad we move on tomorrow.
