I'm Off Tomorrow

Well...everything is packed and I leave for New Zealand tomorrow. I decided that a cycling trip is the right challenge. As a result, I've acquired a BOB single wheel trailer, tuned up the Bianchi and put together enough gear, I hope, to get me through a couple of months.

The "plan" is to fly to Auckland, spend a few days there with friends, Mark & Marine, pick up missing pieces, then travel to the South Island (probably by train and ferry). Once on the South island, I will either ride south from the top or north from the bottom, depending on the prevailing winds for February, staying in campgrounds and backpackers hostels along the way.

Not much of a plan...but it is a start. More tomorrow!
